Allianz Pet Claim

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has ever claimed from Allianz before? Our cat was very sick last week and needed to be kept in with the vet for 3 days and a number of tests and treatments. Thankfully she is ok now, we were very worried. We had to pay upfront for the treatment so i'm wondering how long will it take to process the claim.

When we needed to claim before, Allianz settled with our vet directly but since last year our vet says they don't do that anymore. Out bill was 800 euro so after the excess we are due 700 euro which we definitely need soon!

Get your claim form filled out right away and make sure the vet does their bit (ie the fees part) and get it in the post right away. I think they aim to process all claims within a week or two, so you should get your money pretty fast!

    Thanks!

Our Vet and the UCD Pet Hospital filled out everything and we sent it in on Friday. Hopefully it will be back soon.

Hi - glad to hear your pet is ok.

I had to claim last year & I think I got a letter confirming everything fairly quickly but it was a month-ish before I got the cheque.

A month? I hope mine is a bit quicker than that.
My cat had a bladder inflammation and infection. She is now on specialist cat food to break down the crystals in her bladder which she is not liking!! I'm just relieved she is better!

Pet insurance really pays for itself doesn't it?! So lucky I have it.

We always get ours within 2 weeks. Usually I get a letter say a week later and the cheque a day or so after that.
