Professional Hair Colour / Cut at home

I had an accident 2 weeks ago, was hospitalised and had to have back surgery to stabilise my spine :( I'm home now and can walk or lie down flat, but I can't sit in a chair for more than 10 min without pain and I definitely cannot bend or twist - will be like this for at least 6 weeks, possibly up to 3 months.

Going to the hair salon is out of the question in my current condition, but I was already 3 weeks overdue getting my highlights done when the accident took place so my roots are dark and SCARY at the moment. Anyone have advice, or know a hairdresser in Galway who can come to your house and do highlights and a trim??

Perhaps it sounds vain, and the obvious answer is to leave it until I can get to a hairdressers, but I'm so down at the moment, looking a little nice would give me a boost! And I coloured it dark last year and didn't like it, so really want to stay with my blond highlights.

Thanks in advance for any advice!! :)

or would any of ye risk trying to dye / highlight your hair at home? Or is this a disaster waiting to happen.... did it when I was in university, but got this block-colour yellowish blond, but maybe the formulations have improved since then...

If i was you id ring the salon u normally go to and explain ur situation.. in the salon i work we will often go and do clients hair at home if they are sick.
PLEASE dont try to colour your hair at home for the sake of 6 weeks.. you WILL regret it ! trust me!!
