It says there they haven't talked to the journalist so they probably don't want to give him/her a heads-up.

Though, if he/she has read the story, they'll surely know.

They won't name him/her because they might not have done anything at all and thus, it would be unfair to tarnish his/her name.

I'd love to speculate though it would be innappropriate. But there's one particular creepy fella that I reckon it is. Though I have no real reason to think so other than the head on him
