Hi all I am mulling over changing my car a 03 Tdci Mondeo 130 bhp. I was thinking of going for a 1.8 Tdci 08 Mondeo but after reading a few posts. It seems to be very underpowered, and its tax band d which puts it up to €302 a year. My budget would be around €10500. Any help would be much appreciated.

A friend of mine changed for the newer Mondeo from a focus two years back and hated it, it was a diesel and he found it very underpowered . He has since changed for a Kuga and is delighted with it. Have an 04 tdci which I am also considering upgrading but will only be coming up a two years at most. Drove an Audi A4 today and thought t was good. General problem of course, no one wants to pay much for my Mondeo tdci. ( quoting 4,500) but really getting around 3 to 3500.:p

Try and find a 2.0 TDCi, 1.8 is old and unrefined.

I was going to recommend that 5.0 litre V8 coupe too as an alternative to a Mondeo TDCi but I didn't think the OP would like the colour. :p

    Here's a black one:

It doesn't have those AMG wheels though... Still has a sunroof!

Here's a low mileage silver one with a tv screen:

Though I heard the engines on these can do 300k miles and still feel like new...

There are bloody loads of these for sale at around the 10000eur mark anyway...
