Gf with vaseline eyes but hasn't had surgery?

My gf has lately been suffering with eye issues. She says her eyes go a bit blurry like someone smeared vaseline over a camera lense, but not exactly blurry just distorted like that. She has sore eyes with it sometimes and her eyes tend to be a bit puffy and have dark circles. She says she's always had dark circles and i can see everyone in her family have them. She spoke to her doc who said vaseline eyes is some sort of a disorder that can occur after laser, but she never had laser?? So she's being referred somewhere else. I'm not looking for medical advice or a diagnosis, she is going down the proper medical route for that.

I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of this before in case there is something simple like diet or putting a plant in the room lol

I get eyes like that sometimes but never heard it called vaseline eyes!! Been to different doctors but they didnt know what it was and were not bothered investigating.

Id be interested to hear what the doctors do say in your girlfriends case though
