car wont lock or unlock?

hi i hav a 04 saab 93 just wondering if anyone could help me the car sometimes wont lock or my other case is it wont unlock now this is not happening all the time might not happen for week an then could happen all day now i think it couldnt be batterys gone in key as imaged then if battery was gone then it wont work at all…

would it be a fail in the locking systems? if so is this going to cost me lot to fix

Could be a loose contact or dirt between the battery and circuit board of the key fob. Next time it doesn't work check to see if the little light on the key fob is still flashing when you press it. Also have you tried the spare key fob to see if the same thing happens?
