    Hey guys.

As we speak a team of hard working people are busy broadcasting DCUtv's first LIVE broadcast.

The broadcast which is being streamed live on www.dcutv.ie through Ustream is the first of such for DCUtv and the Media Production Society.

The aim of the broadcast is to rasie awarness about the recent tragedy in Japan, raise money and have a bit of banter in the process.

You can tune in live @ http://www.dcutv.ie and you can text into the studio direct on 0857515973

Donate some spare change to the charity, the Irish Red Cross @ http://www.mycharity.ie/event/dcutv_24_hour_broadcast/

and follow us on twitter and facebook www.twitter.com/dcutvonline

    facebook.com/dcumps

Please help support this cause and help make this event a success by spreading the word through facebook, twitter and any other means of communications, new or traditional!

DCUtv started a 24-hour broadcast at midnight in order to raise money for the Red Cross's mission in Japan. Please support the work by watching the Ustream channel, following the Facebook and Twitter pages, and donate. The hashtag on Twitter is "live24japan". Spread the word folks!

This is exactly the kind of stuff that has made this years MPS one of the best ever. Nearly €700 raised for Japan so far but they need a big push to reach the €2000 mark, so I'd strongly encourage everybody to donate even just a few euro to a really worthy cause.

Awesome effort by the guys - good luck as the day goes on :-)
Every single person on this forum has 2 euro lying in their account - donate it the lads way - and it will go to the victims of the Japanese tsunami.

Final tally - €2,105. That's €1.46ish per MINUTE of broadcasting.
