Can anybody recommend a good coach in North Dublin. Id like to do either group lessons or private. Ive been playing the past 6 months in my local club and have done a few lessons before but need more :o The coach in my tennis club doesnt seem to be doing much lessons anymore so very hard to get a lesson with him.

Has anyone done any lessons in Swords tennis club?

Thanks but do you have to be a member to do lessons in the tennis club?

If you are close to Holywell and are interested in getting coaching, we have very recently set up a new club in the courts in the playing fields there (south of the M1 slip road). I am a member of the start up committee and am looking for numbers so Tennis Ireland will provide us with coaches.

If you are interested email Holywell Tennis Club and we'll let you know when we have coaches down. Or find us on facebook at Holywell Tennis!

On another note, we currently meet up Saturdays at 11:30am for an informal knock around for kids and adults. We are a community based club so all are welcome. It is currently free and informal.

No there is no dress code for the club as of yet. It is brand new and our committee is still drafting the constitution of the club. I doubt we will include a dress code unless it is required for tournaments.

You should consider a dress code. Sometimes I find it very hard to pick up the ball coming over the net if everyone is standing around in multi-coloured clothing.

Dress codes are bull****, Wimbledon is the only tournament that insists on white - it's such bollix.

As long as you are wearing proper runners and sports gear who cares what colour it is ?

    - Alan Beadie is a great coach - he used to coach out of Sutton LTC, but does lessons on public courts too.

If you are convenient to the northside, why not try Sutton Tennis Club... they have 4 or 5 coaches and if you wanted to join it is about €390 a year

    Hey all,

This is quite an old thread, but the information is very relevant... I've noticed that it's almost impossible to find affordable tennis lessons without joining a club, so I've decided to provide that service! I provide lessons for individuals, couples, or groups, and can accommodate all skill levels (up to strong intermediate players). If you feel like getting outside, hitting some balls, and improving your game with a qualified coach, feel free to reach out!

My email is /snip, or you can reach me at /snip.
