Work relationship

well well ...I work in a very small office, there is me and three other people (Including my boss) there is another person who comes in Mondays and fridays.

Problem... me and one of my colleagues have well lets just say every friday night we can't control ourselves (we really fancy eachother ) and end up for lack of a better expression "making out" ...this has been going on for two months now.

we keep saying we have to stop, but honestly it is becoming impossible, it is not affecting our work during the week or anything like that, its just whenever we are alone with eachother we just end up jumping eachother! (not in work outside of work)

We both know we can't go out with eachother as the office is so small it is a recipe for disaster...but it's so hard! ...I am finding that I am falling for him...we both tried moving on, and actually dating people...but thats not working out as we both have no interest in anyone else.

It has just been kissing we have not slept together or anything like that.

Another problem I have is that I am very close to my colleague who comes in on Mondays and Fridays...and I just have not been able to tell him whats going on, i feel quite guilty about this. (I can't tell him cos i find it embarrassing! and also as me and my office romance are not going out it seems pointless for this to spread any further than between the two of us)

I just want to know has anyone been in this situation? How did you deal with it?

I've never been in that situation sorry. But I don't see what the problem is. Two adults want the same thing. Its none of the office staff's business what goes on between fellow workers, so it shouldn't cause you stress.

All office's love gossip if it not you it will be someone else.

If your attracted to this person then I would go with it. The biggest regret will be never knowing what if....

Don't worry about awkwardness in the office, its none of their business.

Well is kind of obvious - stop kissing your colleague if you can't hack it but if it's a potentially fantastic relationship I would not let office politics stop me

Been in almost the exact same situation, OP. My colleague and I eventually decided to go for it and started going out together. I'm glad to say it's turned out very well, although working with your partner isn't always easy, especially as we're still keeping it to ourselves. If you really fancy each other then you should go for it. As long as it doesn't affect your work then it's no-one else's business.

Last office I worked in there were around 4 relationships within the office, and they all meet each other there. 2 of the couple got engaged while i was there as well. so i say go for it!!

Office relationships can work out very well as long as you both keep it strictly professional at work - and also dont bring home work issues either - if one of you has an issue with a colleague, then the other should not get involved. Dont get all cutesy or lovey dovey at work, and if someone asks about your relationship, politely decline to discuss it.

I met my guy at work - it was the best thing to come out of that job! 7 years and counting.

I would only advise taking it further if you both want a relationship. It's not worth it if one or both of you just want a bit or fun/fling.
