I'm getting a woodstove in, to cut down some of the gas bills. But where's a good place to get firewood - ash, preferably - at reasonable prices and good quality, in or near Dublin?

It's good hardwood logs I'm after, though thank you for the suggestion.

The funny thing is that everyone talking about this quotes a price of €40 per cubic metre, but the online prices are almost double that.

It has been suggested to me that all pallets consist of treated timber and that the fumes from burning them are highly toxic/carcinogenic.

I have no written evidence to support this suggestion so would welcome some comments
    Thanks

Maybe we should all get together and find a reasonably priced, honest and creditable dealer to order from? I'm quite willing to be gypped once, but since I'm looking for a long-term relationship, not twice.
