I read in the independant the other day that there is a new 700million fund being made available to technology start ups in ireland. it has apparently been put together by angel investors from all over the world

problem is i have been goolging and googling and cant find anything and the paper is long gone sdoes anyone know the name of this so i can get more information?

I have had some interest in turning my thesis into a business and I would like to look into the possibilities a bit further and see exactly what my options are.

It could potentially require a relatively significant amount of start up capital

    Hey mate,

I had a google for you as well as I had heard of something in the Indo earlier this week too. There are actually loads of these funds springing up these days along with support and mentorship, so I'd say depending on the area you are in I would shoot Enterprise Ireland an email or call them, as there are loads of options for you.

    Couple of examples...

    1) BOI have a seed equity fund http://www.irishexaminer.ie/business/start-up-seeks-to-drive-growth-abroad-after-boi-seed-fund-investment-boost-150610.html

    2) AIB also have one - announced today in the Sunday Business Post.

There is also another recently announced tech start-up fund as well which involves a group of investors coming together in the tech space, but can't recall the name just now..
