    As Ming said yesterday,( and I paraphrase) the government of the day is nothing but a veneer on the permanent civil service that runs this country regardless of what party is in "power". Nothing changes but the names on the office doors.

    Yes the public is somewhat to blame but Carling just repeats the old "don't hate the player, hate the game" which exonerates the players and encourages apathy.
    And if you have public apathy then no-one will even try to change things.
    "You can't fight city hall" is a similar slogan.

    Politics threads are required to stimulate some kind of discussion. In particular, merely stating your opinion in one sentence doesn't cut it, and videos aren't great because most people won't watch them. This thread doesn't meet the standard, so I'm closing it.
