kids pedal extenders/blocks

I'm looking for some kind of block or extender for a kids bike. I'm not sure if this is the right forum but I imagine someone here might have come across these at some stage.
My 2 year old daughter got a bike as a gift from a friend and while she can pedal it a bit her main problem is not being able to reach the pedals properly. I've lowered the seat as far as it can go but she just needs an extra inch and a half or so. I imagine these do exist somewhere but google doesn't seem to want to help me :(

If not i'll have to resort to screwing a wooden block onto the pedals but would prefer an easier solution :)

    Thanks all

If you screw a wooden block into the pedals, they'll just keep turning so the wooden block is facing down.

I could be wrong, but I think you'll just have to get her a bike that fits her properly, and keep the one you currently have until she's bigger. Cycling a bike that's too big for you is a hazard.

By screwing wood on, i mean on both sides of the pedal, about 3/4 of an inch thick on each side. I know what you mean about being too small for it, that was my concern initially but she has no trouble getting on and off it and holding the handlebars, its just reaching the pedals, its only gobnna be cycled round the yard and driveway for now anyway so she is not gonna be a danger to herself or anyone else :)

Well, I'm no expert when it comes to kids and cycling, so I'll let wiser heads advise you!

    This is the Indian solution:

You could get the cranks drilled higher up and tapped out to 1/2" Coarse thread. LH will need a reverse thread.
Or get somebody with a welder to weld a pedal on higher up the crank, bear in mind the higher the pedal moves the harder it will be to turn.

Picture this, you are trying to take the wheel off a car, the wheel nut won't open, do you get a longer wheel brace to open it which will make it easier to open or a shorter brace which would make it impossible

Is the pedal not already at the end of the crank, where please tell would you advise to drill the hole further up the crank?

    Where do I start?

Read the ****ing thread, the guy asked how he could make it easier for his child to reach the pedals, I gave him a suggestion, and pointed out the Very basic physics on mechanical advantage.

To let you know how to do this procedure:

    1: Sit child on bike

2 Mark where the pedal needs to go

    3. Mark a centre

    4 Measure

5 Apply Measurement to opposite crank.

6 Drill out to a size just below 1/2"

    7 Chamfer out to 1/2"

8 Tap to 1/2" Coarse thread.

9 Smile as your child can cycle bike.

10 When Child goes either replace cranks or move the pedals to the original holes.
