thinking of getting new graphite shafts fitted to a driver, 3-wood and hybrid. Can you tell me how much I would expect to pay for a good quality shaft and how much for the fitting, and what particular makes are recommended, will be getting stiff shafts. All advice appreciated, am not familiar with todays golf technology

a 1 hour fitting session at Foregolf is €100 and is well worth it. There's a thread here somewhere about them. They are well worth the investment.

Fore golf is definately worth thinking about. No real point in people telling you what shaft is good as it is each to there own really.A good fitting will give you chance to try a number of shafts and price will vary depending on what shaft you end up with.
You may end up with stock shaft which will be cheaper than after market shaft.

Foregolf seem to come highly recommended, a bit of a spin from Cork, but am thinking about it, thanks guys. Can you give an estimation though what graphite shafts cost for replacing?

A shaft can range anything from under 100 to over 400. If you don't want to splash out on the expertise of fore golf, although I think you should! There's alot of golf shops that do fittings. It'll be around 30 euro an they'll probilly wave that if you buy.

Some of them have that mizuno thing you can put on your shaft while you swing. Which combined with other equipment should find you a fairly nice shaft!

I'd still go the fore golf route. They'll hand build your clubs to perfection!
