    Just came across this thread in the New Posts list. Some pretty cool stuff on the Shaving.ie website. Are you guys just referring to the blades used or general items. I do a little woodturning and I'm planning on making a set, a razor and shaving brush, for a local barbers to display in their window. Which of the blades on the website would you recommend to put into it? Thanks in advance. The one pictured is one a friend made from bog oak.

    Is that a Rudy Vey made set?

    I know of his brush making from badger & blade. I knew I recognised that yellow razor blade pack. It's in nearly all of his brush pictures for a sense of scale. But anyway back to your earlier question;

    If it is just going to be on display there is not much need to put a blade in it - you won't actually see much of the blade when it's in the razor.
    If you plan on using it at some point then blade selection is a personal opinion really. Some people find some blades great while others find the same blade poor. Your best bet would be to get a blade sampler pack. Shaving.ie has 2 different sampler packs.

    I am doing one or two for the barbers and a few for an upcoming craft fair. I was just wondering what would the best blade be to use.

    your best bet if you're selling them is to get the sampler packs. leave the buyer choose after that which they prefer.
