It costs considerably less than using green gas, and it is essentially the same thing... A bit of silicone oil on mag seals every month or two and theres literally no difference. (I've used it)

As mentioned, if you're using propane, be sure to lube your seals far more regularly. A few drops of light silicon oil in the adaptor, or on the seals directly, is required regularly to compensate for how dry the gas is (green is just propane with this already added).

Something else to note is that propane, by itself, smells bloody awful. I wouldn't recommend using it indoors if you value your olfactory glands.

You say that now. Fire off a mag indoors with propane and you'll see why even propane users keep a bottle of green handy for the indoor games.

Well, that or a bottle of aftershave/perfume.

Any decent hardware or plumbing supply store will have them, usually the Bernzomatic brand.
Price varies depending on where and when you get it (gas prices are linked somewhat with petrol prices. At one stage green gas was cheaper), but it's usually around the €8-10 mark. The bottle is quite a bit bigger than that of green gas though, so it works out cheaper again.
