iphone 4 is on a timer lock for 1 hour

    Evening all does anyone know a fix to this problem a friend of my has an iphone 4 the problem is that phone is like it's on a timer lock for 1 hour and he can't get onto phone till the time runs out i am currently waiting on him to drop the phone over to me to find out if i can see what firmware etc is on it so not sure there

    More than an hour has passed, so I assume your mate can get into his iPhone now.

    But just for the record, this was probably caused by entering the wrong passcode in a good number of times. After a few wrong attempts, it locks the iPhone for one minute. This interval gets longer if you keep entering the wrong passcode. See this Apple support page:

    This also happens when the phone is stolen and the thief doesn't know the passcode :-p
