    Hi there,

Going to NYC next weekend and always end up doing a lot of walking so wondering if anyone has any recommendations of fahsionable, comfortable shoes to wear? Think the weather will be much the same as here so sandals not really an option...

    Thanks

    Runners then.

I know they would be comfiest but don't really go with most outfits.

No they dont but if you are sightseeing and shopping then you will be in jeans most of the time probably so they would be okay!

I'd go with Magic on this- dress from the feet up.

When I went to Paris, I just wore Converse and dressed around them. You will enjoy yourself better if you can walk around comfortably. In 6 months time, you won't remember your outfits but you will remember whether you had fun or not! You won't have fun with blistery sore feet.

Thanks I was thinking Converse but heard unless they are worn in can be sore for walking . I know I should be practical I suppose !!!

heading to New Orleans after where weather will be hot (i hope) so trying to plan 2 wardrobes!!!

Get a pair of fly london shoes. They're like shoes but are like trainers and really comfy. They have a wide range including leather pairs.

Find Cons very painful, feet and legs get sore and next day is no fun, after a while, because they are so flat and have no support. I think I wore my Merrells most of the time in NYC but it was October so a bit easier to get away with them with jeans. They're not that fashionable tho. I know people say they can walk all day in their cons but I know I'm not the only one who has problems

Cons can give me blisters on my heel as well - not sure if that's just me tho!

Shoes with some support - how about a pair of FitFlops? or something similar

Anything goes in NYC so I wouldn't be worrying about shoes matching clothes.

Runners really are best. That's what I wear when I go. If you are on your feet all day you don't want to wear something which will hurt by the end of the way due to lack of support or rubbing or whatever. Keep the cute shoes for evening or a day you won't walk much.

I bought some sandals in Clarks for my holiday to Vegas in two weeks. They have support across the top of the foot and ankle and are very comfy to walk in. I will be bringing flip flops too but only for days I'm not walking far.
