Tough ask its very rare due to cost that recondition engines are sold without someone paying first as there not cheap.

Some breakers will give a warranty on an engine for a few months.

    Your realistic options:

You could buy a second hand engine and have it reconditioned at silly expense.

    Recondition your existing engine. (expensive)

You could by a second hand engine with history through an owners club and have it compression, leak down tested. (oil analysis if you have access and are pedantic) No guarantees

Buy an engine from a breaker with a few months warranty. (standard practice)

Would be your best bet. They'll fit and guarantee the engine for atleast 6 months if I remember right.

Firstly what happened to you engine at the minute, did it fail due to oil starvation ?, or was it just a freak failure.

You car should have the 7a-fe engine which would be a pretty reliable engine and not known for major failures.

TBH, you are much better trying to find an engine in a breakers yard or even IVI engines. If you go down the route of getting an engine recon'd you will very soon exceed the value of the car.
