Hi All, I have my own I touch which is disabled because my 13 yr old son decided to try and get into the I-touch and play music.

Can anyone tell me how I would be able to cancel this disable setting or even get into it. It has close to 5866126 minutes before I can try again...

Have you tried syncing the iPod Touch with your computer?

The time out was due to the password being entered too many times and it has given a crasy time out time. If I Sync the I touch with the PC will it cancel out the time out ?.

But according to the Apple site in Ireland. It is called the Apple I-Pod Touch ( I-touch).Also according to everyone who has one and the Apple techs its abbreviated to I touch. Either way it still doesnt get across, I need to find out how to fix it or get a replacement screen and docking connector...

The iTouch name is registered to another music device made by someone else so apple can't use it. As you say, apple site calls it iPod Touch, nowhere do they refer to it as an iTouch.

Anyway, back on topic did you try to sync it?

Word of warning: Never take advice from people who claim to be techs and call it the ITouch. For one, they capitalised the I, mortal sin and B, no. Just no.

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
