Hypothetical - Who would you choose to lead a new SG team

    Please note this is only hypothetical -

    What I believed really made SG1 for me was Richard Dean Anderson. I loved McGyver as a kid and was a real buzz to see R.D.A back on tv, not only back on tv but in sci -fi... and not only that but in a franchise of a movie I already really liked. Sure he isnt the greatest actor ever but it was one of those castings that really was magic. He had the right blend of nostalgia , humor and ability to carry both drama and serious action.

    Now lets say for instance if SG was to go back to its roots, focusing on one earth based team akin to SG1.... Who would you choose to head up the cast / team???


    (Bear in mind with many "once big" celebs doing TV these days it really is a new age for casting in TV)

    For me , I guess tempering my expectations with a touch of realisim I wouldnt mind seeing Christian Slater give it a shot. Seems like he has good range of drama, action and comic ability to warrent at least a shot.
