Hey guys im having a bit of trouble streaming files to my PS3 from my PC. Im streaming avi files over wifi using Ps3 Media Server but it just keeps stalling and stopping. The bit rate does stay quite high at the start, about 3000kb per sec then plunges to about 100-300kb per sec. Thats when the skipping starts. Can anyone suggest a solution or an alternate package? I used tversity before but had similar issues. Iv got a 20mb line so i cant see it being an issue with speed. Thanks for any advice

Try changing the wireless channel. Might stop the skipping. What router are you using? UPC?
I'm fairly sure it isnt the UPC one, as I couldn't get it to share my media to my bros PS3 via wifi with it.

I use Tversity. Great simple app.
    http://tversity.com/
Currently using version 1.8 myself as when I tried to update to a newer version about a year ago, it wouldnt work for me. (a quick google will point you in the direction of version 1.8 if you really need it)
    Current version is 1.9.3.

Although Tversity might not stream ALL of your media. Not too sure if it handles HD content too well.

Isn't That a torrent client? Used to use it ages ago. Probably before it turned into a streaming client.

Yeah it does streaming too. Its very simple, detected my ps3 right away then you just drag what you want to view into that ps3 folder and its viewable right away unless vuze has to convert it.

PS3 Media server is excellent anyway. It transcodes videos that cannot be played on the PS3 too.

yes can be used as a torrent client too.

it converts videos to itunes format also if you wish.

i have vuze set up on laptop(vista).
My ps3 can see vuze and on the ps3 xmb it shows 4 folders (Downloads, movies, music, pictures)
but when i drag and drop a film from my library on vuze to the little
ps3 icon on left on vuze, up comes a screen saying turn on device support.
    So i turn it on.
but the film doesnt appear in the ps3 section on vuze, or on the xmb on ps3.
also if i press play on the film in vuze it says installing a small playback add on required for this video, but it doesnt finish installing.

    Any ideas?
