I have a little problem and I am wondering what you people might think about it?

When I meet new people i constantly obsess about if they might remember me, my name ect.. For example: My mates sister met me once or twice and I was at the same party as her a few weeks back and she was right beside me in a que and never even said hello I even look and smiled at her and she didnt even acknowledge me. For a long time it annoyed me.

This is one example of many.. Does everyone think like this or is this kind of thinking a bit strange?

    Hi there

No, you are not strange, just sensitive by the sounds of it.

Some people are just not good at remembering faces/names... don't take it personally and don't let it eat you up. We all forget meeting people at some time.

I met a friend's friend only this week and forgot I had actually met her at a party about 6 months ago... it happens :)

Relax and don't take it to heart.

    Hi mate,

Thanks for the reply. Your exactly right what you say I really do seem to take it personally. I am not sure why it bothers me so much. It happened again to me and it was on my mind for a little while but I think in future I shall try to forget about it.

I walked by my own sister once in the supermarket and didn't recognise her, she rang me later to see if she'd done something wrong :D
Another time when I was just starting to go out with my bf we were standing in a queue and he said the girl in front really looked like his sister, we were talking to that sister later in the week saying we saw her 'twin' the other day, turns out it was her, her own brother didn't recognise her standing right behind her
I wouldn't take it too much to heart, if you see someone you know but they don't recognise you and you'd like to say hello, just go over and say hello chances are with that little prompt they will quickly remember you :)
