what phone do you have? usually when you hook it up you have an option for mass storage. then you look for the dcim or photos folder.

    Quick Google search found this

Connect the phone to your computer using the supplied USB cable.
On your phone's Connect to PC screen, tap Disk drive, and then tap Done. On your computer, the connected phone is recognized as a removable disk.
Navigate to the removable disk and open it.

    Do the following:
Copy the files from the computer to the storage card’s root folder. (Music folder should be called MP3 or something similar - search for it on the root folder)

After copying the files, unmount the removable disk (that is, the connected phone) as required by your computer’s operating system to safely remove your phone.

Music should update and show in the Music app

To get the phone to show as a device in media player:

    1. Install the relevant driver depending on your version of windows. 32 bit 64 bit
    2. Connect via USB
    3. Ensure no apps are running or the phone wont display in media player
    4. Drag tracks and sync
    5. Done
