    Hi,

I have a 06 Gti which has been remapped. I'm due to drop it in for a DSG service(main vw dealer) in the next couple of days. I think I remember hearing somewhere that if the mechanic updates the cars software, this will overwrite the remap and it will be gone forever....

Is there any truth in this, should I specefically ask the guy not to loa any software as I have a remap?

    Thanks

I think they might reset it to factory if you dont inform them.

Just tell them not to update the software because you have a remap.

    +1

write it on a "Post It" and stick it to the dials so anybody that gets into the car see's it.
