So Im going to England for University later this year and have a few about using my phone there. I'm with Vodafone and the phone was bought in Ireland.

So I was wondering will I still be able to use the phone ( i.e for calling, texting) and the SIM over there( with no problems ) or will I have to get a new U.K. SIM ??? Preferably I'd like to use my Irish number over there..

    ???

The phone will work fine, it's only a question of cost. I suggest you look at the Vodafone website and see if the cost structure suits you.

When you get there buy a 3 sim.. monthly starts at £15 a month and you can ring Ireland for the same price as calling a UK number. Or if your a pay mountly its included in your minutes.. Same with txts I think..

But you can keep your sim keep it in your house during the day and ring people back at night..
