Hi, I am looking into doing a part-time Beauty Therapist Course in dublin.

I have been doing some research on line but there seems to be so many and i don't know which one would be best as i seen some qualifications for ITEC and CIDESCO. Ive heard CIDESCO is best know around the world??

I have looked at the LA Make up Academy but the cost is €6000 which is too much at the moment.

Could anybody direct me in the correct way of what course/qualification would be best?

    Thanks :o

Hi OP there are many good beauty therapy training colleges in Dublin. Two that i know of are Galligan Beauty Group on Grafton Street and Brownyn Conroy Beauty in Blackrock. As far as i know Cidesco cant be done as a part time course, but CIBTAC and ITEC can be.

I trained with Galligan Beauty Group a long time ago but I expect its still the same. You need to have either ITEC or CIBTAC (can't remember which) to complete CIDESCO which is the most recignised qualification and allows you to work in the most countries around the world (not USA though). You also have to have about 6 months salon experience as well as pass the exam in order to get CIDESCO.

My two cents worth....Just keep in mind its a very expensive course so you have to be really sure you will like working in that area. When you start off working you will be on very little money and if you have loans etc to pay off, it can be difficult.
