New Sub-forum

I know this idea has been floated before but I can't remember the reasons for it not happening but is is time for a separate forum for the LOI? Or even better, seeing as this is an Irish message board, leave the forum as it is and create a sub forum for the premier league/all other leagues?

And while we're at it, surely it's time to put the 'go ahead eagles' forum out of it's misery. The concept has been ridiculous from the start and as far as I can see, only 1 person posts in it.

I think leave things as they are. Start breaking up the forum into little pieces and it dies a death.

    Id support it.

Maybe even a sligo vs Rovers forum too? Or a bitter Shels one? :P

Leave the Eagles alone, what harm are we doing to you?

If you don't like a thread, don't post in it. Easier than creating a new sub forum. Could get messy and seems rather useless. It's still soccer at the end of the day.

Meh. Foot.ie kind of covers that. And most clubs ahve their own forums as well, so I do not see the need for it.

It would only end up with the usual shíte between the usual suspects calling each other names and making up silly nicknames for other teams anyway.

Likewise, if you don't like a forum, don't visit it.

This I look forward to seeing! Still it would leave plenty of room to stretch out on the "main" forum.

Long overdue IMO, tired of reading the ignorant opinions of EPL "fans", like the "who do you support" thread the other day. There are between 60-100 regular LOI posters here, more than enough for a dedicated forum.

It doesn't make much sense to me though. Do we have to have a sub forum for LOI, EPL, Bundesliga, Serie A etc?

It doesn't make much sense to me is all.

Its more digging through English league threads to find LoI ones. Often pushed back pages in the space of half a day.

Its not massive tbh, but would be a welcome bonus.

I'm not asking for little pieces. I'm asking for one forum for our national league. If you want to talk about little pieces, we can talk about the aforementioned 'go ahead eagles' forum.

It actually makes more sense to just move the EPL threads to their own forum and leave the rest here

If there is enough demand for it - yes. That's like saying we shouldn't have a soccer forum, we should just have a forum called sport.

I'd like it purely for the reason that LOI is a niche interest on here (relatively speaking) and topics tend to slide off the first page quickly especially when there is a lot on in the EPL/CL etc.

May I be first to nominate myself as moderator overlord for this LOI forum

    It's been done to death.

If you want to raise it again though the End of Season Review will be the best place to do it.
