    just checked online banking and then see GOVERNMENT STAMP DUTY is in for the credit card, i can't take anymore of this, i'm been sucked dry:)

    honestly i'm looking at getting out of this place, the irish governments war on the middle class is not going to end, it's going to drive more professionals to look else where

    I have to agree about this.
    €30 stamp duty for a credit card is really excessive tbh.

    This is not a new tax, you have been paying it for years without noticing it.

    As for needing a credit card for the internet, you no longer need one if you bank with one of the banks (most of them now) that use Visa Debit.

    Debit Card all the way. Never bothered with the whole credit card scam.

    yep i know its been going for a few years now its just i log on to my account and see that, i was banging my head off the desk. I try to do my best to save a few euro and then see that makes me sick.

    Ya debit card is the way to go alright, maybe i'll do a David Drumm on the credit card first.
