Has anyone else ever got retreatment after laser surgery. Had it done last September but one eye has suffered 'regression' and is down to -0.5 now. I know its slight but its noticable and I want it corrected but I'm not sure about getting it done again. Has anyone else got a retreatment

Do you mind me asking what your prescription was before getting it done?

I'm hoping to get it done soon but I'm only -0.75. I've never worn glasses or contacts so can't be entirely sure if my eyesight has steadied yet (I've only had one test).

As far as I know you're only able to have it redone if you had the Intralase treatment.

Why would you risk Laser surgery (remember any type of surgery carries risks) with that small of a prescription and the fact you don't wear glasses or contacts doesn't make sense:confused:

I've faith in the surgery. The risks are low.

Carrying around a box of glasses/putting contacts in every day is a pain in the slammy. I just want perfect vision all the time and if having my eyes half gouged out is what I need to do to get that then so be it.

I appreciate your concern but I want to begin reaping the hell out of the benefits of this technology sooner rather than later.

Well don't ignore the negative sides of the operation too to get a balanced opinion

Had my first surgery in Aug 2008, right eye was overcorrected (so I went from long-sighted to slightly short-sighted) and was redone in March 2009. I then had corneal haze (even though I had LASIK, it's very rare), so had another correction and a cleanup of the right eye in October 2009.

Last had a review in Aug 2010, but I think I may need another correction as I feel the right eye has deteriorated a bit and isn't focussing again.
