rcadeCon is a brand new Irish convention that brings together Anime, Gaming, Music, Comics and Movie fans for one awesome weekend running 1-3 July in the D4 Hotels, Ballsbridge.

The weekend will be crammed with everything from video game tournaments, special guest panels, a massive trade hall, a War Room dedicated to War and Card Gaming as well as workshops and talks from everything on prop making to the evolution of Japanese Pop music.

Seven special guests have been invited from all over the world to @rcadeCon, from the very best in Voice Acting, to the creators of The League Volunteers as well as some of Europes top Manga artists.

Two areas of @rcadeCon are being devoted to gaming, from the latest in video games with a Console Room packed with the latest generation consoles as well as a corner devoted to Retro gaming and a War Room packed wall to wall with war gaming and card games. A Lan Room will also be available for anyone looking to bring their own gear along and challenge friends/strangers to some healthy competition but if you don't fancy lugging your own laptop feel free to take over our Console Lans with Halo and Left 4 Dead as well as many other favourites available to play!

An entire room dedicated to war gaming and card gaming - you asked for it so you got it!

Brought to @rcadeCon by the amazing folk over at GamersWorld Dublin, the War Room will be jam packed with miniatures and cards! From the world of Warhammer to the tactics of Magic the Gathering, the War Room is your one stop shop for the hardcore gamer in you!

Whether you wish to compete, learn some tips or you are just curious about the rules of play for a game, you are guaranteed to learn something new here!

Various tournaments will be taking place over the course of the weekend - details on both war gaming and card tournaments will follow soon!

Anime fans won't be disappointed either with workshops dedicated to cosplay and armour building, wig styling to makeup as well as hours and hours of some of the best Anime from Japan and cartoons from the rest of the world.

Of course if your feet get tired and your arms sore from lugging around goodies you bought in our massive trade hall then you can always take a rest and have a slice of fresh cake and a cup of coffee at our Maid Café.

If you are still not satisifed with the events at @rcadeCon why not test yourself and sign up for our Battle Royale - where we will pit fifty con-goers against each other in a bitter race for survival.
And if hunting down your fellow gamer/otaku isn't something you are interested in then you can always test your cunning and wits in our Treasure Hunt.

Friday night will see the Con turn into a festival grounds to rival all the others with live bands, UV lights and special merchandise tables with the night completed with a J-pop and Dance disco.
Saturday night the Con takes a darker turn as the ballroom transforms into a gothic mansion with a Masquerade Ball running late into the night. With live performances, entertainers and one of Dublin's top DJs spinning music well into the early hours of the morning, this will be a night not to miss!
On Sunday night the Convention will wind down with a Charity auction aimed at raising funds for our selected charity, BeLonG To. With special merchandise, signed memorabilia (including a Highlander dagger signed by Adrian Paul), finely crafted props and a lot more.
