    Hi Guys,

    Just a quick question.

I'm a member of a club in my home town and travel down most weekends for a game.(45 min drive door to tee) problem is i can't drive down mid week to hit a few ball on the practice.

I live in Dundrum and i'm just wonder are there any clubs that would let me use their practice once or twice a week. i dont mind dropping them a few quid for the pleasure it just hate driving ranges!

Is there not a decent practice facility at Milltown?

No, they have a crappy back field that was in pretty poor order the couple of times I was there. Unless they upgraded when they changed the course?

I can't see any club letting you use their facilities, purely because if you could, then the few clubs with decent facilities in Dublin would be worn out. Chipping greens, grass driving ranges etc are pretty fragile things in Irish conditions. With any serious traffic they churn up quite quickly. Even with a members-only policy, it seems to take decent effort to maintain good practice areas.

Yeah if you want to use it, you have to become a pavilion member at around 2 grand.
