Hi Guys, I bought a MK5 2.0 TDI Golf last year and she would be due a service soon only problem is i have absolutly no i dea what kind of oil to use in it an i was wondering if anyone has any ideas? Id be very greatful for any help!

I bought a MK5 2.0 TDI Golf last year and she would be due a service soon only problem is i have absolutly no i dea what kind of oil to use in it an i was wondering if anyone has any ideas?

Id be very greatful for any help!

5W-40 according to Autodata

I'd be going with 5W-30 if it was me....

Either is fine, with 5w30 being marginally better for a Turbo engine.

VW 507 is the latest spec. Edge 5-30 (and others) conform to this.
