is smoking 2 cigarettes a month considered a smoker for life insurance

    hi there
    i wonder if you could help me out,
    my husband smokes 2 cigs when he goes for a drink, thats about once a month, so for insurance purposes should he declare himself as a smoker, and do they take inot account how little he smokes.
    he is happy to go non smoker but me been a worrier am afraid that if anything happens then our polisy could be voided

    any help is appreciated

    i would say put down smoker as these type of things could turn against you if you ever need to make a claim i don't know how the insurance company would find out but they will ask how many cigs he does smoke and how much he drinks but it is best not to take that type of chance.

    If there is a question on an insurance policy then it will not be of the form 'do you smoke?', it will ask if you have smoked at all in the last xxx weeks.

    I don't think there will be a vague issue here. you will be asked a specific question.
