    Check the following:
    Cooling system is not pressurising

Gearbox is not growling and gearshift is smooth

All of the electrics, including the rear lights

Sunroofs are not leaking. If they are, the drain system which terminates behind the front wheel arch liners could be blocked

Check your head, I had two Renaults from that era and could not list the amount of problems on well serviced cars from head gasket to electric window failure, replacement cat. converter, exhaust replacement etc etc etc.
When I had the money in place I switched brands (Ford/Toyota), best thing I ever done.
Save more money and look for an alternative make.
