    I don't think uTorrent works on Macs. Try Transmission instead.

    If your internet stops working lower your max up/download speeds in utorrent, torrent applications running will impact your broadband performance (and others sharing your connection) as they are constantly uploading/downloading simultaneously

    There is a Mac version of uTorrent, but yeah Transmission is better.
