I just got a text message that Cork were leading Kerry at half time 2-13 to 0-3? I don't know if my mate is trying to wind me up but an incredible scoreline if true!

I'm in a state of shock actually on the Cork scoreline! I was in the bookies last weekend and Kerry were hot favourites to win!

Speaking to a Kerry work colleague today and he said he was going to go to the match - I said don't bother, this is quite a good cork team and I would expect Cork to win easily enough - he laughed in my face and said it's Kerry ye are playing....boy!

Result; Cork 2-24 Kerry 0-8! That's surely the Kingdom's worst hammering ever from a Cork team in a Munster football final? The future looks good for Cork football.

It must be a cracking good team. It has just finished 2-24 to 0-8. The winners in Leinster will be new this year. Currently Wexford 1-7, Longford 0-7.

The future is certainly looking good for Cork though, I know they were good, but that is a thumping and a half - pity it wasn't cross the border though:D

The bookies seemed to have underestimated the Cork performance against Tipp and put it down to a poor Tipp team, but they seemed to forget that Tipp were the reigning champs and have caused Cork and Kerry alot of problems in the Minor grade for the last few seasons, but fair play to them I filled me boots, ahh I feel dirty winning money off Cork

Great performance from Cork, the forward line was immense. The backs didn't have much to do and when they did they handled it well. Things are certainly looking bright in Cork.
