Has anyone else used this garage across from UCD?

I got work done with them yesterday and was shocked at how cheap and professional they are.

Ive known a good few that have went and said they were great.

As an ex mechanic who can no longer work as one due to a bad accident,id be quite critical but after these guys did my car they are seriously neat and spot every little detail.

Got a price for the same work in MSL beside my house and they wanted €895 for the lot. I got the same work done for €260.

The bit that really impressed me was before i dropped it in i told them what i needed like pads, plugs, pollen filter, etc the morning i dropped it down the guy said he wouldnt just replace the plugs and he would check that they needed it first and if they didnt he wouldnt fit them. If this was any other garage they would have just did it so they make more money.

Went to Mechanic on Duty for pre-NCT check. Among other things they checked the light bulbs and replaced two of them, found a few bigger issues, so I knew the car is not going to pass as the test was the next day. But one of the issues the car failed the NCT on was the light bulb!!! Aparently the indicator bulb was just laying there not connected. I dont know whether this was the one they replaced or just checked on, it doesn't really matter. You'd think you can trust a mechanic with the light bulbs... So dissapointed with their serive. Called them after and they said to come back so they'll have another look. I decided it was not worth my while going back all way to the south side (im on the north side) just for the light bulb as there is no guarantee they'll do it right.

Anyone else used these guys? Looking for reviews but only found this thread and one other pretty poor review on yelp. They currently have a voucher on dealrush with a saving supposedly of €151 but if you check the prices on their website you are saving maximum €96. Anyway not too bothered about that deal is €99 for a service and nct check which isn't bad so just wondering if they are any good..

What type of service are you after? Just oil, oil filter and air filter?
Don;t bother with paying for nct check, just check all bulbs yourself.
