Glenn Beck is out at Fox News!

Actually, I thought it was going to happen pretty soon. FoxNews has been looking for a place on their flagship channel for Lou Dobbs and John Stossel, who have been patiently biding their time over at the Fox Business Channel. And since Beck had changed his shtick on current affairs from entertainment and humor to doom and gloom, he lost a lot of viewers.

Great news, I remember hearing a rumour about this a while ago but forgot all about it until now. Lou Dobbs rivals him in the cretin stakes though.

Yeah, I guess it goes to show you that when your 5 PM FoxNews show only gets twice as many daily viewers as the highest Prime Time rated show over at MSNBC, you better start to worry.

Only if MSNBC can tape a show of him being tarred and feathered. Then maybe their ratings would have a chance of approaching those of Fox News.

Ratings are no indication of quality. I would love to see Glenn being tarred and feathered though. It's a wonderful image you've created in my mind.

I don’t necessarily agree with you there. People going to Fox News aren’t looking for the weather or a documentary of Oprah getting a boil removed from her butt (how’s that for an image)... they're looking for news and enteratinment. And people gravitate to be best quality programming... hence Fox News top ratings. The exception would be sadists and masochists… who’d I think would naturally be fans of MSNBC. (IMO)

Fair dues, Fox do what they do exceptionally well but I wouldn't call it news, not in the conventional sence anyway.

Actually FOX bought him out, CNN didn't chuck him. Though this was before he called the president a racist, accused him of reparations, started doing massive chalkboard monologues comparing the government to a Nazi Regime, etc.

Reminds me a lot of Network. Which is funny, because Glenn claims he has a lot in common with Beale.
