i saw this question and i am interested in the answer, ill re-phrase

in america, you can buy dlc from amazon and they give u a code, instead of buying from ps store....

is there a way of doing that here?

I get what you mean, just checked out amazon.com and found this in their T&Cs,
Online Game Code: Currently, this item is available only to customers located in the United States and who have a U.S. billing address.
If you have someone in america who will buy it for you and gift it to you.
Note: Gifting is available after purchase via e-mail.

    thanks for the reply,

yes i knew that alright man, that it was only for america, and ya someone could do it for me from over there i guess, would it work on my irish account then ya?

just want to use it for my current profile and not make an american one.

anyway i don't know anyone over there, so i was basically wondering if there are websites that do that service for over here...?

    thanks.

You would have to make a US account, however anything you buy off the US store will be available on your current profile.
I have US games that I got off their store on my PS3 and use it on my EU account.
Why not make a US account and buy the stuff yourself?

i have a us account but dont i need a credit card with a us billing address to buy from us ps store?

anyway what i want to do is buy from amazon.com (or as i'm asking in this thread - a irish/european equivalent setup) and receive the code that way, as opposed to buying from the ps store...

    thanks

You can buy a PSN card w/a dollars on it
Note: Usually, DLC codes can only be used with their game's region's PSN.
EU games can only use EU DLC
US games can only use US DLC
JP games can only use JP DLC

No, I use my Irish VISA to buy off the US PSN. I gave it a US mailing address when I set up my US account.

I assume the codes off amazon are cheaper than the games on the US store?
Either way, you still have to dl from the store.

As said by LiamN, careful where you buy game add-on dlc.
Games are region free, most dlc is not.

You would then have to set up a UK PSN account.

yes, again, i know - thats why i am asking about a website over here (as in ireland/uk) that do this same service.

the codes are not cheaper, different motivation.
