Forge hill from Togher up to the Bull McCabes pub halfway up the airport hill - steeper option than coming from roundabout.

I do a 1.5 mile with an average 2.6% every day. It's enough thanks very much!

    EDIT> Actually it's 4.8% !! I didn't account for the run in to it.

Killer that hill. Might have a bounce of that this week. Did it in September and was way harder that Paddy's Hill....

As studio rat said, it's enough:D I'd prefer a shorter steep one though, the airport hill is a long drag. It's about 2mins from my house though so it's the handiest

It's at the end of the Carrigrohane straight out towards Ballincollig. You turn right at the lights, past the Anglers Rest about 150m keeping on the main road - its the 3rd right after the pub, it's a right turn upwards. Good test for the lungs :)

Yup, Edelweiss B&B is at the bottom of it (is/was? couldn't say if it's still open or not, been a while)

You could try going up it in one gear harder than you normally do. That will make it harder and quicker at the same time. Don't wimp out and change up half way, stick with it till the top.

Plenty nice hills out around the airport though - De Ronde van Cork

I did this the last time, increased my average kph by a fair bit but I was pretty ****led at the top!

Then it did you some good:D
Do it till your comfortable in that gear and then move down again.
