    I was wondering if it would be possible to get a section similar to the "Top Statistics" drop-down menu area but is weighted for recent activity such as in the last 24 hours or the last seven days?

    This would enable people from all sections of boards to see the "hot topics" or even simply highlight a particular thread.

    For example:
    Thread with the most replies in the last 24hours/7days (naturally some threads could be ignored, lets count a million etc.);

    Post with the most tanks in the last 24hours/7days (to highlight a particular witty/profound remark or a good cause);

    Or a top five list of the above.
