Were going to wilsons van auction tomorrow night to see can we find a van,was looking at the caddys but seem expensive compared to the berlingos so presume they are superior, seem to be able to get a 2010 berlingo for the price of a 2008 caddy or near enough, know i am a bit vague here but the main criteria would be comfort and reliability as would not be used much for heavy work.Wilsons have not put up their list for tomorrow night yet but would welcome any sugestions for any make from 2008 onwards and ones to avoid.

Id say the caddy is your best bet tbh. Not a fan of the Berlingo. Have you considered a ford transit connect maybe?

I would be up for the connect if i thought they were reliable but my brother has a bit of a hang up about them,i think its more that he thinks they are a bit boxy and a little white van manish.Would not be a big fan of citreons or renaults myself but a lot of posters here going back through the search seem to have good time for the berlingo hdi and i know its probably a bit shallow,a 10/11 does appeal compared to a 08.

Have a look at the Opel/Vauxhall Combo too. Borrowed a 05 for a few weeks before Christmas and was over all impressed with it. 1.3 Fiat diesel engine was nippy enough as long as you are not loading it fully and decent on fuel. The one I had was a bit rough and had a coolant leak somewhere but started every morning during the really cold weather and never failed on me. Ex Royal Mail versions are cheap as chips these days.

Download the Citroen Commercial Vehicle Brochure here. Pages 14 - 17 outline the differences between the Berlingo First (older model) and New Berlingo.
