help - itunes library wiped on laptop

my laptop crashed and i lost all my itunes library. i have all the music backedup on an external drive so not worried about that. however i didnt have any of my apps backed up. i've now rebuilt my laptop and i have resync'd my contacts/notes from outlook no probs. my worry is that when i try and replace my music its…

my laptop crashed and i lost all my itunes library. i have all the music backedup on an external drive so not worried about that. however i didnt have any of my apps backed up.

i've now rebuilt my laptop and i have resync'd my contacts/notes from outlook no probs.

my worry is that when i try and replace my music its warning me that i am "sync'd with a different library and all data will be lost"

so my questions are:

1) if i sync my music will it wipe all my apps too
2) can i get my apps and all their data off the iphone (eg 1password, momento etc)

any help appreciated, i dont want to have to download all my apps again and lose all the data store within them.
