    Hey all,

Not sure if this is in the right part of the forum but what the heck. Does anybody know where I can check in a bag for a Ryanair flight after I have booked it. There's nothing on the online check in bit at all. Or does anyone know how I'd get away with having a bag and a suit bag. I'm flying to Dublin this Thursday with a caarry bag and a suit in a suit bag. I can't really wear the suit cos I don't want to dirty it.

    Thanks in advance

No, you won't "get away" with it. This is Ryanair ;)

You can add checked bags by going to ryanair.com > Manage my booking

You might get lucky... but probably not. The for oversize or excess hand luggage is 35 euros... and one of your things may have to go in the hold.

I would suggest that either you wear the suit, or pack it like this:

I'd wear the suit! Sure if it gets dirty you can throw some water over it (granted I have never worn a suit...). You generally won't get away with it.

Interestingly, I just had a talk with Ryanair on the phone. I wanted to travel with a violin, which is smaller than most pieces of hand luggage, but exceeds Ryanair's dimensions. They offered me a choice of
    - Put it in the pressurized cargo hold for €40
    - Buy a second seat for it

I've just booked my flight with Aer Lingus :)

I'd have loved to seen the 5 hours spent trying to book a seat for a voilin!
