Can anyone help me find drivers?

I installed win xp home edition on my hp compaq c700 , 765em but I have no drivers for

    Ethernet controller
    PCI device
    SM Bus controller
    Universal bus controller
    2 unknown devices
    2 video controllers

I cannot connect to internet on it or even get wifi to turn on

HP do not have drivers to support xp

I have been searching online since Saturday with no luck.
Please can anyone tell me what I can do?

    ^ I would try that.

Ultimately though you should have checked that before you attempted a downgrade. Still correctable if you wish to return to Vista or perform an Upgrade to 7.

Google the hardware IDs found in the the properties in device manager.

    Thanks all,
yes I know now that I should have checked and saved the drivers first.:o

I actually just installed windows 7 over the xp and what a relief, everything works automatically now.

I know this is an old thread, but just wanted to thank Rambo for the devid.info link.

I was almost ready to pull my hair out trying to find a wireless network adapter I formatted my hardrive and installed windows xp.

I was going on 3 hours trying to get all the drivers. That link did the job in about 5 minutes.

    Thanks very much.
