credit union top up ?

I've been with my credit union for just over a year. 1200 in savings. loan of 3000 plus interest of which I've paid 1000 off.
Repayments have only been 7 months but always been on time, 150 per month.
No problem with this repayment at all and no reason not to keep it up despite being on a very low income, I've no other debts or big expenses.
I'd like to get a top-up loan soon of around 400. Would this be unreasonable? As said I've no problem with continuing repaying 150 per month for long term, but would they look at it as a problem that I haven't been a member for long enough to be able to ask for a top up?
