Tab or Tetbook?

Need something for college notes etc and casual surfing, also I need something to replace the long queues to use the PC's in the library. I'm wondering if there's any advantage to having a tab (like an ipad or a samsung 10.1) over a netbook or visa versa, I haven't had much experience with either but am leaning towards a netbook purely because of functionality.

    any advice appreciated :)

Don't get an iPad or similar. It's just not meant for typing up essays on! If it was me, i'd be looking at some 11.6" laptops, slightly bigger than netbooks, which means they have almost full size keyboards, and aren't all that much larger too. You still get great battery life out of most of them and they're relatively cheap.

Sorry to pimp my own thread but the Eee Pad may be an alternate option when combined with the optional dock.

No worries at all. That looks very interesting indeed.

Thanks guys, yeah i wasn't planning on doing any heavy writing (science student:)), it's just really for keeping notes and things on, and for casual browsing. I had a look at the Eee Pad and it looks great. I don't know enough about the Android OS or even the IPad OS, So I think my real question is, what are these OS's like compared with windows or linux they seem pretty limited.

I've looked up the IPad OS and it doesn't support flash? that cuts out a lot of sites that i use!
