Did Barrack Obama do anything to be worthy of a Nobel Peace prize?

The Peace Prize shall be awarded to the person who

“ ...shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses. "

Aren't you, like, a year late for this thread?

I'm sure it's in the archives somewhere.

Ron Paul has done more to deserve it then Obama did.

I like Obama, and think he's doing a good job, but he was a daft choice for the award. It really was just a case of him not being George Bush. Given the flak he got over it, I imagine he could well have done without the award.

It was probably going to be awarded to anyone that succeeded GWB.

Obama has actually bombed more countries than GWB. I'm not a fan of Obama and haven't been since day one. Always considered him to be a showman, with no substance.

Obama has had a far easier ride than GWB did during his term, in terms of decision making.

Maybe I'm missing something here but
Bush : Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Pakistan
Obama : Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Pakistan
