    Am thinking of buying a car from this guy tomorrow. Does anyone know anything about him i.e. reputation? His name is David Smith, Ballydaly Road, Tullamore.

    If you're buying off him tomorrow, you're leaving it a little late to research him tbh.

    Also, I think it's very important to judge the car, not the seller (within reason). Have you had the car thoroughly checked out - mechanical inspection, Motorcheck report etc.?

    He has a car that is extremely popular, hence the fact I'm going to have to move quickly. Have done history & finance check. I was debating on getting a mechanical check done but this would cost an eight of the asking price. I'm now thinking of leaving it altogether as the history check turned up 7 previous owners in a fourteen year old vehicle.
